Here a peak at the judgment of God.  When looking at this type of talk from God, it is hard to see Him as a loving God.  But, although He is a God of perfect and infinite love, He is also a God of infinite and perfect justice.  Nineveh was the capitol city of a kingdom that had done many horrendous acts, not only against Judea, but many other places.  God’s justice on them is a perfect justice.  And don’t think God plays favorites.  Jerusalem will receive the Lord’s perfect justice for their deeds as well. 

We should remember this when we choose to do wrong.  Our God is a merciful God, but also a God of justice.
