May 18, 2013 – Jeremiah 3

We get a preview here of what is coming in 2 Kings after Israel’s exile.  It also states that Israel was more just or less guilty than Judah.  I found that odd because Israel was exiled first and longer, so you would think that they were punished more because their sin was more.  You could say that Judah had the greater sin because they saw what happened to Israel and still did not change their ways (although we do know they changed their ways for at least a little while).  I am kind of excited about getting into the rest of 2 Kings and seeing exactly what Judah does or doesn’t do to finally earn exile.
