If you wanted to name a kid after a great king of Israel, or Judah in this case, Hezekiah seems like it would be a great name.  I don’t know how popular it is in Jewish cultures, but I think it would be up there with David or at least one of the more popular names.  This is by far the best king we have seen in a very longs time.  Even some of the better kings we have seen didn’t actually change many of the wrongs that were being done, they just stopped doing so much wrong.

I think you have to remember that this is the army that sent Israel into exile and now it is at the gates of Jerusalem.  Then here is Hezekiah standing up against the massive army and totally relying on God and the people are following him. It is really a complete turn from many of the kings we have seen.  I would think that he is talked about more, but you really don’t hear about him at all.
