May 7, 2013 – Proverbs 23

23:4 – How much we need to hear this when we are struggling and thinking about our money issues.  I know I just wrote a post about the worries money brings to me personally and how I struggle with the balance of worry about that so because it is needed but not letting it control our thoughts and become too much.

23:31-35 – This could be a lesson to any young adult coming into the age of experimenting with alcohol and the warnings of what drinking can lead to.  Sometimes it is hard to imagine that hangovers have been around since we have had wine.  These proverbs are from almost 3000 years ago, and still, there is really no remedy people have come up with to combat the hangover.  It is an indulgence that God did not want humans to ever have a cure for, yet we still over indulge.
